Jan Šamánek
Jan Samanek studied law at the Masaryk University in Brno (2002) and at the University of Michigan School of Law in Ann Arbor (2004). Before joining the Ministry of Justice he worked as a legal assistant at the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic and as a junior lawyer in an international law firm in Prague. Jan joined the Ministry of Justice in 2007, first as a Head of EU Coordination Unit, since March 2008 as a General Director. He speaks Czech, English, French and German.

Petra Otevřelová
Petra Otevřelová graduated from the Law Faculty, Masaryk University Brno (1999), later she obtained the Diploma in English and European Union Law (University of Cambridge, The Institute of Continuing Education, 2007). At the Ministry of Justice where she has been working since 1999 she started as a paralegal, continued as a Head of a Unit and then became a Director of the European Union Department. From March 2008 she holds a position of a Director of the International Department for Criminal Matters. Petra speaks fluent English and she is able to communicate also in French. Besides work she enjoys most her three-year-old son.

Zuzana Fišerová
Zuzana Fišerová graduated from the Law Faculty (2004) and from the Faculty of Arts (2002) of Charles University in Prague. She has been working at the Ministry of Justice since 1 January 2005, at first in the Civil Law Unit of the International Law Department, after the re-setructuring of the International Affairs Section (in March 2008) she was nominated as a Director of the newly created International Department for Civil Matters. She speaks fluently English and French, she understands Russian, Spanish and German. She is a contact point of the European Judicial network in civil and commercial law matters. She is about to finish her postgraduate studies.

Marta Pelechová
Marta Pelechová graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University (2003). Before her engagement with the Ministry of Justice, she had worked as a translator and interpreter. For many years, she has been cooperating with the Lidové noviny newspaper (the English Page). She has worked for the Ministry of Justice since 2004, first as an expert at the EU Department, later as a Head of EU Legal Information and Programme Unit. She has been in the current position since March 2008.

Video: The e-Justice - Use of Videoconferencing
A short movie was presented at the Informal Meeting of Ministers for Justice and Home Affairs on 16 January 2009 in the Congress Centre of Prague for the first time. Deputies of Member States were consequently set up with the movie at the international conference "e-Justice without barriers" in Prague (17 - 18 February 2009). The main goal of the movie is the propagation of digitising the judicial system.
